BMC Grand Prix, Loughborough

Chloe Sharp was in fine form again at the BMC Grand Prix in Loughborough, Leicestershire on 23rd June.

Chloe broke the 4 min 30 sec barrier for the first time as she improved her 1500m Club Record to 00:04:29.35.

In a top-class field of 17 runners, Chloe came home in 9th position and was, quite rightly, thrilled with her performance.

New Club Records Weekending 10/06/2018

Janet PYNE set an inaugural record of 01:12:39 in the Tenterden 10k on 10/06/2018. This is Janet’s first Club record in her new category and her 3rd overall.

Congratulations to Anoushka Johnson (02:13:18), Tony Durey (02:13:22) and Renee-Marie Young (02:43:59) who set new Club records over 15 miles yesterday in Newhaven, Sussex.

All three of you now hold 4 club records each. Fantastic achievements, well done 👏👏

What a week it has been for the Sharp family…

Monday 7th May – Herne Hill Harriers Open Meeting:

Chloe set a new Club record of 4:51.88 for the mile (outdoor track)
Craig set a new Club record of 4:28.07 in the same event
Cameron set a new Club record of 4:55.10 also in the mile.

Saturday 12th May – Kent County Championships:

Craig set a new Club record of 4:08.90 for the 1500m (outdoor track)
Cameron set a new Club record of 4:28.14 also in the 1500m
Chloe narrowly missed her own Club record whilst storming to victory in the 800m (outdoor track), coming home in 2:15.20

Sunday 13th May – Kent County Championships:

Chloe sets another new Club record of 4:31.70 for the 1500m (outdoor track)
Craig set a new Club record of 2:00.72 in the 800m (outdoor track), beating his own previous record of 2:03.59 in the process!

Three athletes, NINE Club records between them, one extremely talented and hard-working family.

No fewer than 10 athletes set new Club Records at Whitstable yesterday.

New Club Records Weekending 22/04/2018

Tony DUREY and Jamie BUSHNELL both set new Club Records at the 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon. They were joined in the hall of fame by Renee-Marie YOUNG who set her new Club Record at the 2018 ABP Southampton Marathon.

Congratulations to you all.

Central Park Athletics now have three Club Record holders in track events following the Medway & Maidstone AC open. They also happen to be from the same family! Step forward Craig, Chloe and Cameron Sharp. Welcome to our Hall of Fame!
